Never have time to chill, always restless

What are your aspirations for the Bay?

Witness the Bay lift the SLA trophy for all their hard work they have put in over the years with the help of the committee, coaches, players, supporters and media.

What is it about the Bay that inspires you?

The Bay has been a part of my life for about 30 years now and I have seen players, coaches and committee members come and go and end up back at the Bay. Many years ago I promised myself I didn’t want to be a yo-yo and subsequently made the Bay my second home.

Who at FB inspires you?

The person  that inpires me most is our ex-groundman/ex-player/Life Member Inus Bokwe. A man every club member respected on and off the field. I would like to mention the origin of our motto “Up The Bay”. We had a homeless guy in the 80s & 90s who used to sleep in the grounds (and who I fed). Andrew used to amble across from the Spar just as the First XV kicked off and march up and down the sideline shouting “Up The Bay” and that dear folks is the origin of UTB.

What do you do to relax or interests outside of rugby?

Cooking and baking. Yes....
