It was celebrations all-round at the Philip Herbstein Fields in Constantia as all False Bay teams in action on Saturday delivered wins, as the club’s Patron, Louis de Waal marked his 86th birthday in a small function in the clubhouse annex.

The Bay First XV bagged a five-point haul in their match against 26-13 win over Hamlets. The same for the Under 20 As, the Second XV and the False Bay Third XV. An exciting result at the end of an entertaining match was the Bay Women 26-5 win over rivals Tygerberg Women.

Kicking off the Bay’s winning weekend was the False Bay FIFOs who narrowly eclipsed their Bay brothers, the Barbarians 13-12 in their Reserve League clash. In the seventh home game of the weekend, also on Friday night, the Bay’s U20 Badgers were pipped by Hamiltons. The score was 25-29.

Here are a selection of pictures from all matches which took place on Saturday.
