“You don’t stop playing because you get old…You get old because you stop playing!” (Easier said than done. )

Rugby highlight in your role:

Those rare occasions when our Croc’s beat Durbell Ou Manne!

Favourite Club Player:

I would have to say Capt Snoop. Great personality and top ambassador for the Bay as well as an extreme talent!

Favourite Coach:

Jonno VDW

Family background / make up (if you want to share this):

It would seem I descend from the infamous Nazi terrorist, spy, boxer and “freedom fighter”, Robey Leibbrandt. Let’s just keep that locked in a box.

How do you chill?

In a fridge.

What are your aspirations for the Bay?

For the club to always display a welcoming atmosphere to both members and outsiders alike. I believe this has already been achieved through the tireless efforts of many a committee member, coach, manager and player. Also for False Bay to be the number one choice for young players starting their club rugby career.

What is it about the Bay that inspires you?

It is a club one can be proud of on many levels. The fact that we have such a mixed culture of players and members without Fikile Mbalula having to enforce it upon us is inspiring.

Who at False Bay inspires you?

Too many to mention. As a whole it would be all the stalwarts who put so much time and effort into building the brand. Those who don’t inspire are the arm chair critics!

What do you do to relax or what are your interests outside of rugby?

Touch rugby / Croc’s rugby / Touch rugby / Croc’s rugby…Oh outside of rugby, Braaivleis , Rugby ( sorry), Sunny Skies and Crème Brule! Oh, and there’s that thing called learning to play guitar behind closed doors.( Ah yes , my other inspiration…Garbers and Allen! )
