Played rugby through my schooling career and then learnt some tough lessons playing in the Eastern Transvaal for Defence which brought my playing career to an end. Switched to football but never lost the love of the oval ball

School and Army

 

Position played or role if never played:

Prop and Lock with a short stint at 8th man

 

Rugby philosophy:

Let the Ball do the work and utilise the space

 

Life philosophy:

Never Waste a Day

 

Rugby highlight as a player:

The First Time running onto the field as a “RED” 1st team for KES

 

Favourite Club Player:

I cannot choose one player as every club player bleeds for the club and that’s what makes the Bay UTB

 

Favourite Coach:

Norman McFarlane a man ahead of his time and had the ability to turn an average player into a good player and a good player into a great player

 

How do you chill?

Play Golf

 

What are your aspirations for the Bay?

To help the Bay build onto the great foundation that has been laid over the last couple of years

 

What is it about the Bay that inspires you?

The Bay has a culture of Grit and Determination which is always a winner , The Village Green feel at match days and the community feel

 

 

Who at False Bay inspires you?

The person I admire would have to be Louis De Waal

 

What do you do to relax or what are your interests outside of rugby?

All Sports watching and playing Golf
