Sportsman of the Year at Plumstead HS; Full Colours Rugby; Half colours Judo; Cricket; Badminton; Tennis; WP Judo; WP Under 20 Rugby (1 game).

False Bay RFC; Havant (UK); Windsor (UK)

Position played or role if never played: Scrumhalf (Worst passer of the ball but good fetcher) 

 

Rugby philosophy:

Enjoy it. I do not like losing. Sing and enjoy your mates. 

 

Life philosophy:

Work hard, play harder and be brave…Life is very short

 

Rugby highlight as a player:

Beating the Mighty UCT U20 of 1969

 

Rugby highlight in your role:

 Managing the First XV with Kevin Musikanth and us getting back into the SLA in that year.

 

Favourite Club Player:

John le Roux and Marius Conradie. Graham Garbers in my latter years. 

 

Favourite Coach:

Basil Bey- What a visionary!!!! 

 

Family background / make up:

2 Brothers & a sister; kids Lisa, Mia and Neil and stepchildren Livvy and Dealy. 

 

How do you chill?

Play guitar and also a little bit of golf 

 

What are your aspirations for the Bay?

To be the best club in the country. 

 

What is it about the Bay that inspires you?

The family environment; the people; the camaraderie. 

 

Who at False Bay inspires you?

Louis de Waal, Gareth Jones, Graham Garbers and Kevin Lennett. WHAT A TEAM.

 

 What do you do to relax or what are your interests outside of rugby?

Between my kids, work and rugby I only have time for mixing with my mates.
