FALSE BAY RUGBY CLUB

Dimitri Catrakilis, Stormers and Southern Kings flyhalf, returns to the home of his Cape Rugby birth, False Bay RFC as Guest Speaker of the Club100.  

 

Dimitri joined False Bay in 2010 upon his return to SA from Racing Metro. His sights were set on furthering his career in the Western Province and the newly-promoted Bay offered him the perfect platform to do so.

 

His role proved to be central to False Bay's Cinderella return to the Super League A that year when they ended third on the table in a season which included victories against Maties and Hamiltons.

 

Dimitri then took the Varsity Cup  by storm the following year and the rest is history to use a cliché.  

 

He played a leading role in UCT's championship winning Varsity Cup campaign.

 

From there he did the same in WP's Currie Cup winning campaign and was the backbone of the Kings' very credible S15 debut season.

 

His career so far was capped with an invitation to the Springbok training camp.  

 

Dimitri will share some of his experiences and his rugby philosophy on Wednesday 29 January. The gathering starts at 6.30pm.
