Rugby or sporting background - Played Bishops 1st team in 2011, False Bay U20A 2012, 2013 and then injured 2014, 2015. 2nd Team 2016- 2017 

 

Clubs played for – False Bay since u20

 

Position played or role if never played – Fullback and Fly-half

 

Rugby philosophy – Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations

Life philosophy – “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. “

 

Rugby highlight as a player – School rugby at Bishops playing 1st team is a big highlight but also pulling over the Bay jersey every weekend is special.

 

Rugby highlight in your role – Pretty special moment beating Hammies this year, moments one always remembers.

 

Favourite Club Player – Mustaqeem Jappie, very exciting when he touches the ball

 

Favourite Coach – Kevin Foote (former Bishops 1st team coach, UCT coach and now Western Force coach)

 

Family background / make up – Mom played lots of sport, Western Province Netball for a long time. All my uncles from my mom’s side played rugby and my grandad played a high level in Apartheid. 

 

How do you chill? – Easy Braai with mates and a few frosties (Beers)

 

What is it about the Bay that inspires you? - The camaraderie of the club and how closely knitted the players and supports are.

 

Who at False Bay inspires you? - Graham Knoop great club man and Kevin Lennett true club man off the field.

 

What do you do to relax or what are your interests outside of rugby? - Spending time with family and I love playing cricket

 

Which club do you enjoy playing against and why? - Hammies because it’s one of those huge club derby games everyone looks forward to. 

 

What is your Dream Sports event, one you would most like to attend?-  Rugby World Cup Final

 

Your favourite rugby moment? - Beating Maties in 2016 at the Danie Craven always special getting one over them over there.

 

Your most embarrassing rugby memory? - Scoring a try on the 5m in like u12 haha

 

Who is your funniest team mate? - Most definitely Kat (Leighton Bezuidenhout) always joking and talking rubbish
