Last night's Crocs game against Durbel Ou Manne was certainly not for the fAinthearted!

It was a very cold run on with , as usual , a mix and matched False Bay team.

This showed itself early on in the game as Durbell proceeded to show the advantages of having a stable and practised team.

They hit us hard and fast from the kick off and although we had plenty of possession we did not seem to know what to do with the ball or how to retain it in the rucks.

Matters were  worsened by the fact  we had only 1 forward sub due to a couple of "no shows".

While Durbel judiciously rolled their players over False Bay soldiered on as the sexiest team on the field. ( I mention this due to all the heavy breathing and not Danie Hougaard's fantastic complexion! ).

Even our two Fighting fit Fifo's and Larry's and my son were feeling the bite.

Even with Zak-a-tac Scheepers and Mario Kloppers laying into their forwards and Mc Cracks & Hougaard trying every Switch , dummy and step in the book we looked destined to never break through Durbels' unrelenting defense.

However, soldier on we did and managed one try to their 4 Scored by Fifo's stalwart , Ryan Volbrecht!

All in all it was a great game played in a great spirit ( even with Mc Cracken and Durbel's Willem taking part ).

Congrats to the three Man of the match nominees , Zak Scheepers, Danie Hougaard and Chad Leibbrandt.

The team decided the wooden plaque was to be awarded to the forwards Zak-a-tac Scheepers.....again!

Well done Zachary!
